Plain City is a city in Weber County, Utah. Plain City is a rural community located in a scenic environment between Great Salt Lake and the Bear River Mountains of the Wasatch Range. Plain City is located about 10 miles northwest of Ogden and 45 miles north of Salt Lake City, both of which can be easily reached via nearby Interstate 15/Interstate 84.
Plain City is located just south of Willard Bay Reservoir, a 20 mile enclosure of the Great Salt Lake. The Willard Bay State Park offers Boating, swimming, waterskiing, and fishing. The area offers great camping under tall cottonwood trees that frame the night sky. During winter months, Willard Bay is a wildlife watching area for nesting eagles and other animals. The North and South Marinas offer all the amenities for a weekend at the Bay.
